Hundred of succesfull cases, ¿do you want to meet them?

The most important thing in Awex Education is the happiness of our students and families”

We want you to live the best experience of your life like thousands of students who have already lived it with us.

We answer your questions.

You can study any level of ESO or Bachillerato, although it is common to start from 3rd year of ESO onwards.

With an F1 visa for private schools, there is much more flexibility, allowing you to choose the state, school, and live in a dormitory.

It is advisable to start the process in September or October of the previous year, as this gives you enough time to prepare the paperwork and exams in advance, reducing the risk of any unforeseen issues.

At Awex, we will conduct a personal interview to assess and evaluate your level of English, sports ability, academic performance, and motivation for this “experience.” Following the interview, we will send you a scholarship proposal at no cost or obligation. If the proposal meets your needs, we will prepare a contract to be signed by both parties. Once the contract is signed, we will begin the process of finding the school that best fits you. We will select three options, and the final choice will send you your acceptance letter. At Awex, we will guide you before, during, and after the entire process.

You should have an intermediate level of English that allows you to communicate with your teachers and classmates. Don’t worry about not being fluent; improving your fluency is one of the goals you will achieve with this experience.

It depends on the state where you live, but generally, classes start between mid-August and early September and end throughout June.

Yes, you will be among a small number of students from various nationalities. At Awex, we ensure that we work with schools that have a low percentage of Spanish-speaking international students, so the experience is fully immersive.

The Ministry of Education regulates the validation of studies completed abroad. You will need to enroll in at least 4 mandatory subjects and complete your course with some of the many elective options offered by the U.S. educational system. At Awex, we provide guidance throughout the process to ensure you choose the right subjects and avoid any issues with validation in Spain.

Yes, we will work with the F1 visa type. At Awex, we will assist you throughout the entire processing process to ensure that you encounter no issues.

Typically, a staff member from the school where you are enrolled will be waiting for you at the arrival gate. You won’t have to worry about anything other than finding your departure gate at the airport, as someone will be there to meet you upon arrival.

At Awex, we secure substantial scholarships thanks to the profiles of our students and our agreements with schools.

The main selection criteria for admission are: being a secondary or high school student in your home country, your level of English, your age, having academic grades above a 6.5, your sports ability, and your motivation to be an exchange student.

Keep in mind that we accept only a limited number of students each year, so you should make every effort to improve your English proficiency and academic performance before coming. We assure you that your effort will be worthwhile.

First of all, I want to remind you that you won’t be alone. The school will have medical staff to assess your condition, and you will have local support available at all times. All of our program fees include a comprehensive medical and accident insurance policy. Before your departure to the United States, we will explain what you need to do if you need to use the insurance. It’s very simple and secure.

Yes, as long as your legal guardians authorize it. During your school year in the United States, you will likely have several opportunities to travel and explore new places. Your school might organize excursions that you can join, or your local coordinator might suggest trips or activities with other international students in the area.

Although it might be challenging at first, you will soon meet many people. Our students often praise how easy it is to make friends, socialize, and how friendly and welcoming people are.

Gradually, you will make new friends at your high school, in sports teams, or in activity clubs you join. Some American schools that accept exchange students have an orientation program designed by the school to help with integration. It’s common to have a “buddy” or “mentor” student who is responsible for showing you around the campus and helping you settle in. Believe me, the hard part won’t be making friends; it will be saying goodbye to them when you return home.

With your J1 exchange student visa, you won’t be able to return to Spain during your vacation period. Fortunately, we work with the F1 visa, which allows you to return to Spain during your vacation, and your parents can visit you as well.

This depends on your program’s schedule and your visa conditions. You should plan accordingly and check with your program.

To study in the U.S., we will need to take some tests, as Spanish diplomas are not valid. Depending on the student’s level, we may need to take the DUOLINGO, TOEFL, or SAT exams.

While it is possible, it is not common, as there are few full scholarships available. You should consider whether you and your family can make an investment between $10,000 and $20,000.

Our program includes accommodation, meals, tuition, extracurricular activities or sports participation, and insurance.

At Awex, we work with students from all over the world.

On one hand, the J1 visa is granted by the U.S. government to a limited number of students to study for an academic year in the U.S. However, students do not have the option to choose where they go: neither the location nor the school.

With the J1 visa, it is the American host family who selects the international student who will live with them for the coming year based on the student’s personality and interests as reflected in their application letter. Host families volunteer to host students. Depending on the family’s location, a nearby school is assigned to the student, so the student cannot choose the state, area, or school.

The main characteristic of the J1 visa is its cost, as it is a more budget-friendly program for families with tighter budgets who want to offer their children the opportunity to study a school year in the United States.

On the other hand, the F1 visa is more expensive. Students can choose which school they want to attend based on the activities offered by the schools or the area or state they prefer. Following this, they are assigned a host family living near the school or have the option to reside in the school’s dormitory. Host families for F1 visa students receive a modest financial compensation for hosting the student during their school stay in the U.S.

Coaches assess athletic level through various factors:

– Official records or times.

– National and international competitions.

– Demonstration video.

– Awex Education evaluation.

With all this information, at Awex Education, we evaluate each athlete and their family, and we work with educational institutions that match their athletic and academic level, offering good chances of securing a sports scholarship and playing on the team.
