First of all, I want to remind you that you won’t be alone. The school will have medical staff to assess your condition, and you will have local support available at all times. All of our program fees include a comprehensive medical and accident insurance policy. Yes, as long as your legal guardians authorize it. During your school year in the United States, you will likely have several opportunities to travel and explore new places. Your school might organize excursions that you can join, or your local coordinator might suggest trips or activities with other international students in the area.

Although it might be challenging at first, you will soon meet many people. Our students often praise how easy it is to make friends, socialize, and how friendly and welcoming people are.

Gradually, you will make new friends at your high school, in sports teams, or in activity clubs you join. Some American schools that accept exchange students have an orientation program designed by the school to help with integration. It’s common to have a “buddy” or “mentor” student who is responsible for showing you around the campus and helping you settle in. Believe me, the hard part won’t be making friends; it will be saying goodbye to them when you return home.
