If you are between 12 and 17 years old, have an intermediate level of English, and a grade above 6 out of 10, you can apply for a scholarship to study at a High School in the United States or Canada.

Why the United States and Canada?
The American education system is the only system that allows combining competitive sports with university studies. In addition, thanks to a baseball scholarship, athletes can cover a percentage of academic expenses. Often, there are also opportunities to combine academic scholarships, further reducing the total costs.
Schools offer baseball scholarships in the United States for their team members, allowing athletes to finance their studies through baseball.
Thanks to this opportunity, athletes can enjoy an experience with many advantages compared to the Spanish system: combining studies and sports, traveling for free across the United States with the team, obtaining an academic degree from a U.S. school, learning perfect English, meeting people from many different countries, and living unforgettable experiences. Baseball scholarships in the United States and Canada
Each sports league has a maximum number of baseball scholarships to distribute, and within these limits, the school allocates the scholarship funds as it deems appropriate.
The coaches at the schools distribute the money as full and partial baseball scholarships to the athletes on the team. Usually, athletes must be among the best on the team to receive a baseball scholarship.
There are also other opportunities called walk-on, which allow players to join the team without receiving a scholarship in the United States. After a year in this position, depending on the player’s performance, they may earn a baseball scholarship for the following years.
Scholarship limit per team
The number of baseball scholarships available at each school varies between institutions. Each sports league has a maximum number of baseball scholarships it can offer, but schools may offer fewer scholarships than that limit at their discretion.
A clear example is the universities that form the IVY League (academically prestigious universities such as Harvard), which do not offer athletic scholarships.
Additionally, baseball is a sport in which coaches can divide the number of baseball scholarships among team members. For example, in NCAA D1, men’s baseball coaches can divide the value of 12.6 scholarships among as many players as they want.
On the other hand, women’s baseball in NCAA D1 has a maximum of 18 scholarships, so if a player has the right level, it is possible to receive a full baseball scholarship.
How does the process of obtaining baseball scholarships in the United States and Canada work?

Here we explain the process of obtaining a baseball scholarship in an American educational institution. The first part is where the athlete must work to achieve the best sports and academic results:
Achieve the highest baseball level possible: The higher the athlete’s level, the greater the chances of obtaining a baseball scholarship in the United States and Canada. Additionally, they will have a wider range of options to choose from. It is important to plan baseball training and competition schedules to achieve the best possible results.
Achieve the highest academic level possible: It is very important to focus on studies to reach the highest academic level. This increases available options and can even lead to academic scholarships, reducing annual costs. Proper preparation for TOEFL and SAT exams in advance is fundamental.

Assist the athlete and family in choosing the school, providing guidance, but the final decision rests with the family.
Process the final school offer agreement.
Handle admission procedures for the academic leagues in which the school competes (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA).
Manage the admission process with the chosen school (submission of grades, SAT and TOEFL scores, paperwork…).
Prepare the athlete’s meal and housing plans.
Handle medical insurance in the United States and Canada.

For students in their 3rd or 4th year of university, we offer a course at a UK university that prepares them for the workforce and helps secure job offers.
In addition to all this, a very important factor that makes a difference in our service is the personalized support. We maintain continuous contact with our athletes and families via WhatsApp or calls, and in urgent cases, it is possible to contact us at any time outside office hours.
Academic requirements
Another important part to secure a good educational institution is the academic side: high school grades, SAT and TOEFL scores. If two students have very similar athletic levels but differ significantly in academics, the coach will usually award the baseball scholarship to the student with the better academic record.
This is because students must meet minimum academic requirements, making the academic side just as important as baseball in several aspects:
Sports acceptance: Minimum grades in exams must be met to be accepted into sports leagues.
To be accepted by the schools, the athlete must meet academic requirements in SAT and TOEFL exams.
It is even possible to obtain an academic scholarship, which can be added to the sports scholarship, resulting in a larger total scholarship. To get academic scholarships, good grades and strong SAT and TOEFL results are required.
The higher the grades, the wider the options available to the athlete and the more financial support the school may provide.

What level of baseball is required?
In the United States and Canada, there are over 1,000 educational institutions with baseball teams that are part of various leagues. Within this wide range of schools, the level of baseball is also very diverse.
Baseball programs tend to distribute a larger number of scholarships to women than to men, so the chances of obtaining a baseball scholarship are higher for female athletes. Scholarships are awarded based on each athlete’s athletic and academic level.
Coaches usually stay in contact with athletes one or even two years before they start at the school. However, final decisions are based on performance one year before starting in the U.S., typically during the athlete’s last year of high school.
Although athletes often specialize in a particular position or event, coaches look for versatile athletes who can compete in multiple events within their sector.
In the middle- and long-distance sector, opportunities may be even greater since these athletes can compete in both cross country and track, making coaches more interested and more likely to offer higher scholarships.
What do baseball scholarships cover?
Baseball scholarships in the United States cover a percentage of the following school expenses. In the case of a full baseball scholarship, all of these expenses will be covered:

In addition, all athletes on the school’s baseball team, whether they have a scholarship or not, always have the following baseball-related expenses covered: baseball training, sports equipment, official competitions, travel to competitions (transportation, accommodation, and meals), academic tutors if help is needed with classes, sports medicine, and physiotherapy.
